Gas Prices and Gas Shortages on the Rise throughout Atlanta Metro Area

Due to an Alabama pipeline leak, there has been a gas shortage occurring in Georgia.

People are pulling up to gas stations and being greeted with plastic bags on the gas pumps. In addition to the lack of gas, gas prices are skyrocketing as well.

There are a lot of people who may be panicking over these very unfortunate events, but there’s an app called GasBuddy that can assist with finding gas price information and locating gas stations that actually have gas available.

According to the AJC via the GasBuddy app, here are a few gas stations that have gas available and decent gas prices as of 7:30 this Monday morning:

Alpharetta, gas was $2.25 a gallon at the Shell gas station at 560 North Main Street.

East Point, gas was $2.27 at the Shell at 2641 Main Street.

Duluth, the cash-only gas price was $2.35 at Valero at 1932 Pleasant Hill Road.

College Park, the cash-only price of regular gas was $2.19 a gallon at the Exxon at 5231 GA-85.

Southwest Atlanta, gas was $2.27 at the UFO at 340 Whitehall Street.

Northwest Atlanta, the cash-only gas price was $2.35 at the Marathon at 2756 Cobb Parkway.

It is unclear on how long this pipeline leak will affect the gas in Georgia but it would probably be wise to fill up your tank the moment you are able to do so.
