There’s a new series coming to ABC and it’s very “black”. Viola Davis and Insecure co-creator Larry Wilmore and executive producer Regina Hicks, has partnered up to create a new multi-camera comedy series.

Black Don’t Crack is a show centered around sorority girls who end up reconnecting years after their college years. It explores the challenges, changes, and triumphs they all face as they rediscover the beauty of sisterhood and fellowship.

Regina Hicks takes the lead on this new project as the writer and executive producer, which is being produced by Viola Davis’ production company JuVee Productions.

“Viola and I are inspired by Regina Hicks and to have Larry Wilmore EP is a dream. Seeing these three African American women who appear not to age but, to have challenges that we can all relate to and in a way, we have not seen before, will be a revelation”, said Julius Tennon, Viola’s husband and business partner.

There’s no word on when the series will debut but once it does, it will be interesting to see where they take the series.
