To all the creatives, artists, and entrepreneurs out there, we know sometimes things get hard. When you take the road less traveled, you find yourself coming in contact with a lot of hurdles and unknown territories. Remaining steadfast while on the pursuit of your goals is key, no matter how “hard” things may seem to be. Once you figure out what you seek to accomplish and create a plan to reach it, patience is a virtue. Reaching goals take time. Things don't usually just fall into place right away, sometimes you have to wait for them to come together and for all the dots to connect. However, we know practicing patience isn’t an easy thing, especially when you are looking forward to reaching a goal you have worked towards for so long.

Patience- Diligence. The capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.

Remember: In order to succeed, patience is a must.

Here are 4 tips to help with practicing and maintaining that patience:

  1. Don’t confuse patience with procrastination. There is a difference. You can’t just sit around waiting for things to happen without putting in the necessary work. Formulate a plan and see it through.

  1. Slow Down. You never want to rush into anything. Be sure to think and weigh the pros and cons of the possible results of your decision(s). Don’t be so anxious, relax. Things will not always go as you might have imagined in your head and that is okay.

  1. Don’t focus on others. Pay no attention to what your friends and family members are doing. People achieve success at different rates and levels, never compare your success to others. Besides, you never know what that person had to go through to get to that point. Remain positive and focus on yourself. Your story won’t be theirs and why would it be? You're creating your own.

  1. Enjoy the journey. Sometimes people get so caught up in accomplishing certain goals, they forget to stop and smell the roses. Always keep your destination in mind, but remember to enjoy the journey too. The journey is what you will remember.

Stay patient my friends, your time is coming.
