Apparently, Quentin Tarantino is ready to venture into the world of Star Trek.

According to reports, Tarantino has a pitch for a Star Trek film and he has already connected with J.J. Abrams. J.J. Abrams is the producer responsible for the “reboot of the franchise” with the 2009 Star Trek.

And while he’s been working on Star Wars, he’s still a producer for the Star Trek franchise.

He and Tarantino are in talks of getting a writer’s room together. Being a fan of Star Trek, Tarantino seems pretty excited for the possibilities.

"The only thing that limited them was their '60s budget and eight-day shooting schedule. You could take some of the classic Star Trek episodes and easily expand them to 90 minutes or more and really do some amazing, amazing stuff”, he’s said.

Quentin Tarantino heading a Star Trek film will be interesting no doubt. His involvement could possibly spark new interest for the franchise, or it could do nothing at all.

If you are familiar with Tarantino’s work, you already know he can be very extreme when it comes to his storylines and the way he chooses to explore unorthodox territories.

So far, the actual studio has yet to confirm or deny anything.

What are your thoughts of Tarantino’s possible involvement with Star Trek?
