[WATCH] New York Knick’s Player Carmelo Anthony Hits Hawks’ Thabo Sefolosha In Face During Game

During the Hawks and New York Knicks game last night Carmelo Anthony apparently lost his temper. Technical fouls were called during the first half of the basketball game, which eventually caused Anthony to get ejected from the game.

During a play, Carmelo Anthony and Thabo Sefolosha fought for a rebound which led to things getting extra physical on Anthony’s end. Sefolosha ended up getting hit in the face as Anthony attempted to move in front of him on the court.

Sefolosha pushed Anthony in retaliation but no further altercations had the chance of transpiring due to the refs and teammates intervening.  After the officials reviewed the replay of what actually happened, they called “Anthony’s shot to Sefolosha’s head “unnecessary and excessive” contact, prompting them to assess a flagrant-2, which brings with it an automatic ejection.”

Anthony finished his 15-mins of playing time with 10 points, five rebounds, and one assist. This has been his second ejection of the season.
