Atlanta is in the midst of a huge renovation. Changes have been happening within Atlanta for some time now, new attractions and amenities are constantly being added to the city.

A brand new Atlanta Braves stadium is already underway, but in addition to the stadium, an indoor skydiving facility will be built near the same area.

The facility will feature a flight chamber that will stimulate a freefall skydiving experience. Initially, Cobb County Zoning Division denied some of the stipulations that were needed to actually build the facility, due to it conflicting with the county’s zoning restrictions. Patrick Framel, Vice President of Development for iFly, the company in charge of bringing indoor skydiving to Atlanta, decided to just build a special facility just for Cobb County, one that does not conflict with the county’s rules and regulations.

The indoor skydiving facility is set to open sometime in November of this year. This will be the company’s first skydiving location in Georgia.
