This hurricane season is no joke. People are losing their belongings, homes, and even lives at the hand of mother nature. Harvey, Irma, and soon to come Katia and Jose, has the world on the edge.

After Harvey hit Houston, you could feel the devastation across the country, and now Irma is coming through the Caribbean and possibly the east coast of the United States, even stronger.

We are currently awaiting to see what type of damage Irma will actually do. There are people who have yet to hear from their family and friends in the Caribbean, and Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas, are on high alert. A state of emergency has been declared.

During this time, it’s important that we don’t lose our cool. There’s a lot of tension in the air as the feeling of unease weighs heavily. All the chaos and anxiousness is understandable but let’s also remember to not let that energy consume us.

It’s okay to turn off the news and take a break from social media. By all means, send the energy of protection and resilience to those being affected directly by these storms. And if you see that you can help with a donation or through volunteer services, figure out the best way to help and do so.

Just also keep in mind that we are all connected and you can choose to be someone who ignites the chaos or someone who defuse it.

Stay safe my friends.
