A month ago, Kid Cudi made headlines after going after Kanye West and Drake on Twitter.

He tweeted:

"Everyone thinks they're soooo great. Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them. My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These niggas don't give a fuck about me."

Kanye responded to Cudi’s comments during his Saint Pablo concert in Tampa saying he was hurt and felt disrespected.

However, Kid Cudi is making headlines once again, but for a different reason.

On Tuesday (Oct. 4th), Cudi pinned an open letter to his fans via Facebook:

Cudi’s words came as a surprise to everyone, he dropped a lot of hard truths about himself. Depression is still something that is somewhat taboo within the black community. Talking about it with family and friends isn’t always the easiest thing to do, especially when you are basically told to deal with it and move on. Recognizing the issue is one step but being able to say you need help and actually following through with it, is a great step in the right direction. We salute Kid Cudi for coming to the light with this situation. You never know who may be going through what. Depression doesn’t care about your fame or how much money you make, it can affect anyone. We hope Cudi receives the help he needs in rehab, and that he comes back balanced and better. We wish him well on his healing journey to recovery.
