Magic Johnson Named President Of Basketball Operations By Los Angeles Lakers

According to NBA.com, Magic Johnson officially became the President of Basketball Operations for the Lakers.

We all know Johnson’s history with basketball, well at last we should all know. Magic Johnson is a retired basketball player who played point guard for the L.A. Lakers for 13 seasons. He has championships under his belt, NBA MVP Awards, an Olympic gold medal, and countless other achievements in his career as a professional basketball player.

So this could be a good move considering not only Johnson’s long and successful relationship with the Lakers, but he’s also been very successful on the business side of things as well. Johnson definitely has the ball knowledge and the business savvy to be the President of Basketball Operations.

“It's a dream come true to return to the Lakers as President of Basketball Operations working closely with Jeanie Buss and the Buss family. Since 1979, I've been a part of the Laker Nation and I'm passionate about this organization. I will do everything I can to build a winning culture on and off the court. We have a great coach and good young players. We will work tirelessly to return our Los Angeles Lakers to NBA champions”, was Johnson’s response to his new position according to reports.

Magic Johnson can’t seem to stay too far away from basketball, which could be good news for his career as well as for the Lakers.
