Zoe Saldana And Steve Harvey Receives Backlash For Political Statements

Actress Zoe Saldana and entertainer Steve Harvey are the latest  celebrities to receive scrutiny for involving themselves in politics.

Saldana recently spoke out about how she felt “bullying” helped Donald Trump win the election. “We got cocky and became arrogant and we also became bullies. We were trying to single out a man for all these things he was doing wrong, and that created empathy in a big group of people in America that felt bad for him and that are believing in his promises”, she stated.

Some people didn’t quite understand where Saldana was coming from with her statement, and as a result, some backlash is definitely happening.

She also stated, “If we have people continue to be strong and educate ourselves and stand by equal rights and treat everyone with respect, we don’t go back to those times.”

Do you agree with Saldana’s sentiments, or is she too being placed in the “entertainers who just don’t get it” box?

While we are on the subject, Steve Harvey is also receiving some backlash from his choices. Harvey decided it was a good idea to meet up with Donald Trump at Trump Tower to discuss “inner cities in America and creating positive changes.”

It’s very interesting how Trump has been meeting with various black entertainers but what about the activists? The local black community leaders? Or anyone who’s actually out here putting in the work to implement real change? Apparently, Steve Harvey will be teaming up with Ben Carson, the new head of Housing for Urban Development? It seems things are really getting interesting in the world of politics. Check out the video footage below. What are your thoughts on Steve Harvey’s recent involvement in politics?
